On June 27th Kyle and Mike went up to beautiful Magnolia, TX to Makin Bacon 2015, an event to support the NFA Freedom Alliance. The NFAFA is an organization dedicated to changing the laws that govern National Firearms Act firearms at the state level. NFA weapons, full auto, Short Barreled Rifles, Suppressors, are often deemed illegal or restricted at the State level even more so than the Federal.
For example in Texas, Suppressors and SBRs were illegal, the law only containing a defense to prosecution. So someone legally in possession of an NFA firearm and the Federal tax could be detained by state authorities, costing them thousands in legal fees. Todd Rathner from NFAFA successfully had that law changed to where come September 1st, 2015 all NFA items are legal for Texas Residents to own. His next priority in Texas is the Shall Certify legislation which will mandate that Chief Law Enforcement officers must sign NFA paperwork unless they have a compelling reason not too.
Sons of Liberty supported the cause by donating a 300 Black Out SBR as part of the Liberty 2X giveaway. paired with a Liberty Suppressors Chaotic can, EOtech sight, and a free trust. It was a great package that raised thousands of dollars for NFAFA. The package was won by Jeffrey Owen from Charlottesville VA.
Mike and kyle brought out several fun toys and were joined by many other dealers for a great time shooting all sorts of Machine guns, sbr's, and suppressed weapons. Check out the videos and pictures below!
